Suddenly, everything about the design made sense. The wooden prongs, the small frame, the spacing—it all served a very specific and functional purpose. And not only was it practical, but it also had a touch of old-world charm, the kind of thing you’d expect to find in a traditional European kitchen. We laughed for a good ten minutes straight, mostly at ourselves for having misjudged the object so badly for so many years.
